1.  Quand le sabbat fut passé, Marie de Magdala, Marie, mère de Jacques, et Salomé achetèrent des aromates pour aller oindre le corps. When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him. 2.  Et de grand matin, le premier jour de la semaine, elles vont à la tombe, le soleil s'étant levé. Very early on the first day of the week, they *came to the tomb when the sun had risen. 3.  Elles se disaient entre elles : « Qui nous roulera la pierre hors de la porte du tombeau ? » They were saying to one another, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?" 4.  Et ayant levé les yeux, elles virent que la pierre avait été roulée de côté : or elle était fort grande. Looking up, they *saw that the stone had been rolled away, although it was extremely large. 5.  Étant entrées dans le tombeau, elles virent un jeune homme assis à droite, vêtu d'une robe blanche, et elles furent saisies de stupeur. Entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right, wearing a white robe; and they were amazed. 6.  Mais il leur dit : « Ne vous effrayez pas. C'est Jésus le Nazarénien que vous cherchez, le Crucifié : il est ressuscité, il n'est pas ici. Voici le lieu où on l'avait mis. And he *said to them, "Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him. 7.  Mais allez dire à ses disciples et à Pierre qu'il vous précède en Galilée : c'est là que vous le verrez, comme il vous l'a dit. » "But go, tell His disciples and Peter, `He is going ahead of you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you.' " 8.  Elles sortirent et s'enfuirent du tombeau, parce qu'elles étaient toutes tremblantes et hors d'elles-mêmes. Et elles ne dirent rien à personne, car elles avaient peur... They went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had gripped them; and they said nothing to anyone, for they were afraid. 9.  Ressuscité le matin, le premier jour de la semaine, il apparut d'abord à Marie de Magdala dont il avait chassé sept démons. [Now after He had risen early on the first day of the week, He first appeared to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons. 10.  Celle-ci alla le rapporter à ceux qui avaient été ses compagnons et qui étaient dans le deuil et les larmes. She went and reported to those who had been with Him, while they were mourning and weeping. 11.  Et ceux-là, l'entendant dire qu'il vivait et qu'elle l'avait vu, ne la crurent pas. When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, they refused to believe it. 12.  Après cela, il se manifesta sous d'autres traits à deux d'entre eux qui étaient en chemin et s'en allaient à la campagne. After that, He appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking along on their way to the country. 13.  Et ceux-là revinrent l'annoncer aux autres, mais on ne les crut pas non plus. They went away and reported it to the others, but they did not believe them either. 14.  Enfin il se manifesta aux Onze eux-mêmes pendant qu'ils étaient à table, et il leur reprocha leur incrédulité et leur obstination à ne pas ajouter foi à ceux qui l'avaient vu ressuscité. Afterward He appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15.  Et il leur dit : « Allez dans le monde entier, proclamez l'Évangile à toute la création. And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16.  Celui qui croira et sera baptisé, sera sauvé ; celui qui ne croira pas, sera condamné. "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17.  Et voici les signes qui accompagneront ceux qui auront cru : en mon nom ils chasseront les démons, ils parleront en langues nouvelles, "These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18.  ils saisiront des serpents, et s'ils boivent quelque poison mortel, il ne leur fera pas de mal ; ils imposeront les mains aux infirmes et ceux-ci seront guéris. » they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." 19.  Or le Seigneur Jésus, après leur avoir parlé, fut enlevé au ciel et il s'assit à la droite de Dieu. So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20.  Pour eux, ils s'en allèrent prêcher en tout lieu, le Seigneur agissant avec eux et confirmant la Parole par les signes qui l'accompagnaient. And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.] [And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation. ]

1.  La Pâque et les Azymes allaient avoir lieu dans deux jours, et les grands prêtres et les scribes cherchaient comment arrêter Jésus par ruse pour le tuer. Now the Passover and Unleavened Bread were two days away; and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to seize Him by stealth and kill Him; 2.  Car ils se disaient : « Pas en pleine fête, de peur qu'il n'y ait du tumulte parmi le peuple. » for they were saying, "Not during the festival, otherwise there might be a riot of the people." 3.  Comme il se trouvait à Béthanie, chez Simon le lépreux, alors qu'il était à table, une femme vint, avec un flacon d'albâtre contenant un nard pur, de grand prix. Brisant le flacon, elle le lui versa sur la tête. While He was in Bethany at the home of Simon the leper, and reclining at the table, there came a woman with an alabaster vial of very costly perfume of pure nard; and she broke the vial and poured it over His head. 4.  Or il y en eut qui s'indignèrent entre eux : « A quoi bon ce gaspillage de parfum ? But some were indignantly remarking to one another, "Why has this perfume been wasted? 5.  Ce parfum pouvait être vendu plus de trois cents deniers et donné aux pauvres. » Et ils la rudoyaient. "For this perfume might have been sold for over three hundred denarii, and the money given to the poor." And they were scolding her. 6.  Mais Jésus dit : « Laissez-la ; pourquoi la tracassez-vous ? C'est une bonne œuvre qu'elle a accomplie sur moi. But Jesus said, "Let her alone; why do you bother her? She has done a good deed to Me. 7.  Les pauvres, en effet, vous les aurez toujours avec vous et, quand vous le voudrez, vous pourrez leur faire du bien, mais moi, vous ne m'aurez pas toujours. "For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you wish you can do good to them; but you do not always have Me. 8.  Elle a fait ce qui était en son pouvoir : d'avance elle a parfumé mon corps pour l'ensevelissement. Then Judas Iscariot, who was one of the twelve, went off to the chief priests in order to betray Him to them. 11.  A cette nouvelle ils se réjouirent et ils promirent de lui donner de l'argent. Et il cherchait une occasion favorable pour le livrer. They were glad when they heard this, and promised to give him money. And he began seeking how to betray Him at an opportune time. 12.  Le premier jour des Azymes, où l'on immolait la Pâque, ses disciples lui disent : « Où veux-tu que nous allions faire les préparatifs pour que tu manges la Pâque ? » On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples *said to Him, "Where do You want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?" 13.  Il envoie alors deux de ses disciples, en leur disant : « Allez à la ville ; vous rencontrerez un homme portant une cruche d'eau. Suivez-le, And He *sent two of His disciples and *said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him; 14.  et là où il entrera, dites au propriétaire : «Le Maître te fait dire : Où est ma salle, où je pourrai manger la Pâque avec mes disciples ?» and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, `The Teacher says, "Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?"' 15.  Et il vous montrera, à l'étage, une grande pièce garnie de coussins, toute prête ; faites-y pour nous les préparatifs. » "And he himself will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; prepare for us there." 16.  Les disciples partirent et vinrent à la ville, et ils trouvèrent comme il leur avait dit, et ils préparèrent la Pâque. The disciples went out and came to the city, and found it just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover. 17.  Le soir venu, il arrive avec les Douze. When it was evening He *came with the twelve. 18.  Et tandis qu'ils étaient à table et qu'ils mangeaient, Jésus dit : « En vérité, je vous le dis, l'un de vous me livrera, un qui mange avec moi. » As they were reclining at the table and eating, Jesus said, "Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me--one who is eating with Me." 19.  Ils devinrent tout tristes et se mirent à lui dire l'un après l'autre : « Serait-ce moi ? » They began to be grieved and to say to Him one by one, "Surely not I?" 20.  Il leur dit : « C'est l'un des Douze, qui plonge avec moi la main dans le même plat. And He said to them, "It is one of the twelve, one who dips with Me in the bowl. 21.  Oui, le Fils de l'homme s'en va selon qu'il est écrit de lui ; mais malheur à cet homme-là par qui le Fils de l'homme est livré ! Mieux eût valu pour cet homme-là de ne pas naître ! » "For the Son of Man is to go just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born." 22.  Et tandis qu'ils mangeaient, il prit du pain, le bénit, le rompit et le leur donna en disant : « Prenez, ceci est mon corps. » While they were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, "Take it; this is My body." 23.  Puis, prenant une coupe, il rendit grâces et la leur donna, et ils en burent tous. And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24.  Et il leur dit : « Ceci est mon sang, le sang de l'alliance, qui va être répandu pour une multitude. And He said to them, "This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. 25.  En vérité, je vous le dis, je ne boirai plus du produit de la vigne jusqu'au jour où je boirai le vin nouveau dans le Royaume de Dieu. » "Truly I say to you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." 26.  Après le chant des psaumes, ils partirent pour le mont des Oliviers. After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. 27.  Et Jésus leur dit : « Tous vous allez succomber, car il est écrit : Je frapperai le pasteur et les brebis seront dispersées. And Jesus *said to them, "You will all fall away, because it is written, `I WILL STRIKE DOWN THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP SHALL BE SCATTERED.' 28.  Mais après ma résurrection, je vous précéderai en Galilée. » "But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you to Galilee." 29.  Pierre lui dit : « Même si tous succombent, du moins pas moi ! » But Peter said to Him, "Even though all may fall away, yet I will not." 30.  Jésus lui dit : « En vérité, je te le dis : toi, aujourd'hui, cette nuit même, avant que le coq chante deux fois, tu m'auras renié trois fois. » And Jesus *said to him, "Truly I say to you, that this very night, before a rooster crows twice, you yourself will deny Me three times." 31.  Mais lui reprenait de plus belle : « Dussé-je mourir avec toi, non, je ne te renierai pas. » Et tous disaient de même. But Peter kept saying insistently, "Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!" And they all were saying the same thing also. 32.  Ils parviennent à un domaine du nom de Gethsémani, et il dit à ses disciples : « Restez ici tandis que je prierai. » They *came to a place named Gethsemane; and He *said to His disciples, "Sit here until I have prayed." 33.  Puis il prend avec lui Pierre, Jacques et Jean, et il commença à ressentir effroi et angoisse. And He *took with Him Peter and James and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled. 34.  Et il leur dit : « Mon âme est triste à en mourir ; demeurez ici et veillez. » And He *said to them, "My soul is deeply grieved to the point of death; remain here and keep watch." 35.  Étant allé un peu plus loin, il tombait à terre, et il priait pour que, s'il était possible, cette heure passât loin de lui. And He went a little beyond them, and fell to the ground and began to pray that if it were possible, the hour might pass Him by. 36.  Et il disait : « Abba Père ! tout t'est possible : éloigne de moi cette coupe ; pourtant, pas ce que je veux, mais ce que tu veux ! » And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will." 37.  Il vient et les trouve en train de dormir ; et il dit à Pierre : « Simon, tu dors ? Tu n'as pas eu la force de veiller une heure ? And He *came and *found them sleeping, and *said to Peter, "Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? 38.  Veillez et priez pour ne pas entrer en tentation : l'esprit est ardent, mais la chair est faible. » "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." 39.  Puis il s'en alla de nouveau et pria, en disant les mêmes paroles. Again He went away and prayed, saying the same words. 40.  De nouveau il vint et les trouva endormis, car leurs yeux étaient alourdis ; et ils ne savaient que lui répondre. And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy; and they did not know what to answer Him. 41.  Une troisième fois il vient et leur dit : « Désormais vous pouvez dormir et vous reposer. C'en est fait. L'heure est venue : voici que le Fils de l'homme va être livré aux mains des pécheurs. And He *came the third time, and *said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? It is enough; the hour has come; behold, the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. 42.  Levez-vous ! Allons ! Voici que celui qui me livre est tout proche. » "Get up, let us be going; behold, the one who betrays Me is at hand!" 43.  Et aussitôt, comme il parlait encore, survient Judas, l'un des Douze, et avec lui une bande armée de glaives et de bâtons, venant de la part des grands prêtres, des scribes et des anciens. Immediately while He was still speaking, Judas, one of the twelve, *came up accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs, who were from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. 44.  Or, le traître leur avait donné ce signe convenu : « Celui à qui je donnerai un baiser, c'est lui ; arrêtez-le et emmenez-le sous bonne garde. » Now he who was betraying Him had given them a signal, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the one; seize Him and lead Him away under guard." 45.  Et aussitôt arrivé, il s'approcha de lui en disant : « Rabbi », et il lui donna un baiser. After coming, Judas immediately went to Him, saying, "Rabbi!" and kissed Him. 46.  Les autres mirent la main sur lui et l'arrêtèrent. They laid hands on Him and seized Him. 47.  Alors l'un des assistants, dégainant son glaive, frappa le serviteur du Grand Prêtre et lui enleva l'oreille. But one of those who stood by drew his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his ear. 48.  S'adressant à eux, Jésus leur dit : « Suis-je un brigand, que vous vous soyez mis en campagne avec des glaives et des bâtons pour me saisir ! And Jesus said to them, "Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me, as you would against a robber? 49.  Chaque jour j'étais auprès de vous dans le Temple, à enseigner, et vous ne m'avez pas arrêté. Mais c'est pour que les Écritures s'accomplissent. » "Every day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize Me; but this has taken place to fulfill the Scriptures." 50.  Et, l'abandonnant, ils prirent tous la fuite. And they all left Him and fled. 51.  Un jeune homme le suivait, n'ayant pour tout vêtement qu'un drap, et on le saisit ; A young man was following Him, wearing nothing but a linen sheet over his naked body; and they *seized him. 52.  mais lui, lâchant le drap, s'enfuit tout nu. But he pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked. 53.  Ils emmenèrent Jésus chez le Grand Prêtre, et tous les grands prêtres, les anciens et les scribes se rassemblent. They led Jesus away to the high priest; and all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes *gathered together. 54.  Pierre l'avait suivi de loin jusqu'à l'intérieur du palais du Grand Prêtre et, assis avec les valets, il se chauffait à la flambée. Peter had followed Him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest; and he was sitting with the officers and warming himself at the fire. 55.  Or, les grands prêtres et tout le Sanhédrin cherchaient un témoignage contre Jésus pour le faire mourir et ils n'en trouvaient pas. Now the chief priests and the whole Council kept trying to obtain testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, and they were not finding any. 56.  Car plusieurs déposaient faussement contre lui et leurs témoignages ne concordaient pas. For many were giving false testimony against Him, but their testimony was not consistent. 57.  Quelques-uns se levèrent pour porter contre lui ce faux témoignage : Some stood up and began to give false testimony against Him, saying, 58.  « Nous l'avons entendu qui disait : Je détruirai ce Sanctuaire fait de main d'homme et en trois jours j'en rebâtirai un autre qui ne sera pas fait de main d'homme. » "We heard Him say, `I will destroy this temple made with hands, and in three days I will build another made without hands.' " 59.  Et sur cela même leurs dépositions n'étaient pas d'accord. Not even in this respect was their testimony consistent. 60.  Se levant alors au milieu, le Grand Prêtre interrogea Jésus : « Tu ne réponds rien ? Qu'est-ce que ces gens attestent contre toi ? » The high priest stood up and came forward and questioned Jesus, saying, "Do You not answer? What is it that these men are testifying against You?" 61.  Mais lui se taisait et ne répondit rien. De nouveau le Grand Prêtre l'interrogeait, et il lui dit : « Tu es le Christ, le Fils du Béni ? » - But He kept silent and did not answer. Again the high priest was questioning Him, and saying to Him, "Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" 62.  « Je le suis, dit Jésus, et vous verrez le Fils de l'homme siégeant à la droite de la Puissance et venant avec les nuées du ciel. » And Jesus said, "I am; and you shall see THE SON OF MAN SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND OF POWER, and COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN." 63.  Alors le Grand Prêtre déchira ses tuniques et dit : « Qu'avons-nous encore besoin de témoins ? Tearing his clothes, the high priest *said, "What further need do we have of witnesses? 64.  Vous avez entendu le blasphème ; que vous en semble ? » Tous prononcèrent qu'il était passible de mort. "You have heard the blasphemy; how does it seem to you?" And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death. 65.  Et quelques-uns se mirent à lui cracher au visage, à le gifler et à lui dire : « Fais le prophète ! » Et les valets le bourrèrent de coups. Some began to spit at Him, and to blindfold Him, and to beat Him with their fists, and to say to Him, "Prophesy!" And the officers received Him with slaps in the face. 66.  Comme Pierre était en bas dans la cour, arrive une des servantes du Grand Prêtre. As Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the servant-girls of the high priest *came, 67.  Voyant Pierre qui se chauffait, elle le dévisagea et dit : « Toi aussi, tu étais avec le Nazarénien Jésus. » and seeing Peter warming himself, she looked at him and *said, "You also were with Jesus the Nazarene." 68.  Mais lui nia en disant : « Je ne sais pas, je ne comprends pas ce que tu dis. » Puis il se retira dehors vers le vestibule et un coq chanta. But he denied it, saying, "I neither know nor understand what you are talking about." And he went out onto the porch, and a rooster crowed. 69.  La servante, l'ayant vu, recommença à dire aux assistants : « Celui-là en est ! » The servant-girl saw him, and began once more to say to the bystanders, "This is one of them!" 70.  Mais de nouveau il niait. Peu après, à leur tour, les assistants disaient à Pierre : « Vraiment tu en es ; et d'ailleurs tu es Galiléen. » But again he denied it. And after a little while the bystanders were again saying to Peter, "Surely you are one of them, for you are a Galilean too." 71.  Mais il se mit à jurer avec force imprécations : « Je ne connais pas cet homme dont vous parlez. » But he began to curse and swear, "I do not know this man you are talking about!" 72.  Et aussitôt, pour la seconde fois, un coq chanta. Et Pierre se ressouvint de la parole que Jésus lui avait dite : « Avant que le coq chante deux fois, tu m'auras renié trois fois. » Et il éclata en sanglots. Immediately a rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had made the remark to him, "Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times." And he began to weep.

Mark 13
1.  Comme il s'en allait hors du Temple, un de ses disciples lui dit : « Maître, regarde, quelles pierres ! quelles constructions ! » As He was going out of the temple, one of His disciples *said to Him, "Teacher, behold what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!" 2.  Et Jésus lui dit : « Tu vois ces grandes constructions ? Il n'en restera pas pierre sur pierre qui ne soit jetée bas. » And Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another which will not be torn down." 3.  Et comme il était assis sur le mont des Oliviers en face du Temple, Pierre, Jacques, Jean et André l'interrogeaient en particulier : As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew were questioning Him privately, 4.  « Dis-nous quand cela aura lieu et quel sera le signe que tout cela va finir. » "Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are going to be fulfilled?" 5.  Alors Jésus se mit à leur dire : « Prenez garde qu'on ne vous abuse. And Jesus began to say to them, "See to it that no one misleads you. 6.  Il en viendra beaucoup sous mon nom, qui diront : «C'est moi», et ils abuseront bien des gens. "Many will come in My name, saying, `I am He!' and will mislead many. 7.  Lorsque vous entendrez parler de guerres et de rumeurs de guerres, ne vous alarmez pas : il faut que cela arrive, mais ce ne sera pas encore la fin. "When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be frightened; those things must take place; but that is not yet the end. 8.  On se dressera, en effet, nation contre nation et royaume contre royaume. Il y aura par endroits des tremblements de terre, il y aura des famines. Ce sera le commencement des douleurs de l'enfantement. "For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will also be famines. These things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. 9.  « Soyez sur vos gardes. "But be on your guard; for they will deliver you to the courts, and you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them. 10.  Il faut d'abord que l'Évangile soit proclamé à toutes les nations. "The gospel must first be preached to all the nations. 11.  « Et quand on vous emmènera pour vous livrer, ne vous préoccupez pas de ce que vous direz, mais dites ce qui vous sera donné sur le moment : car ce n'est pas vous qui parlerez, mais l'Esprit Saint. "When they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but it is the Holy Spirit. 12.  Le frère livrera son frère à la mort, et le père son enfant ; les enfants se dresseront contre leurs parents et les feront mourir. "But pray that it may not happen in the winter. 19.  Car en ces jours-là il y aura une tribulation telle qu'il n'y en a pas eu de pareille depuis le commencement de la création qu'a créée Dieu jusqu'à ce jour, et qu'il n'y en aura jamais plus. "For those days will be a time of tribulation such as has not occurred since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will. 20.  Et si le Seigneur n'avait abrégé ces jours, nul n'aurait eu la vie sauve ; mais à cause des élus qu'il a choisis, il a abrégé ces jours. "Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days. 21.  Alors si quelqu'un vous dit : «Voici : le Christ est ici ! », »Voici : il est là ! », n'en croyez rien.  Mark 12 1.  Il se mit à leur parler en  paraboles : « Un homme planta une vigne, l'entoura d'une clôture, y creusa un pressoir et y bâtit une tour ; puis il la loua à des vignerons et partit en voyage. And He began to speak to them in parables: "A man PLANTED A VINEYARD AND PUT A WALL AROUND IT, AND DUG A VAT UNDER THE WINE PRESS AND BUILT A TOWER, and rented it out to vine-growers and went on a journey. 2.  Il envoya un serviteur aux vignerons, le moment venu, pour recevoir d'eux une part des fruits de la vigne. "And he sent another, and that one they killed; and so with many others, beating some and killing others. 6.  Il lui restait encore quelqu'un, un fils bien-aimé ; il le leur envoya le dernier, en se disant : «Ils respecteront mon fils. » "He had one more to send, a beloved son; he sent him last of all to them, saying, `They will respect my son.' 7.  Mais ces vignerons se dirent entre eux : «Celui-ci est l'héritier ; venez, tuons-le, et l'héritage sera à nous. » "But those vine-growers said to one another, `This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!' 8.  Et le saisissant, ils le tuèrent et le jetèrent hors de la vigne. "They took him, and killed him and threw him out of the vineyard. 9.  Que fera le maître de la vigne ? Il viendra, fera périr les vignerons et donnera la vigne à d'autres. "What will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the vine-growers, and will give the vineyard to others. 10.  Et n'avez-vous pas lu cette Écriture : La pierre qu'avaient rejetée les bâtisseurs, c'est elle qui est devenue pierre de faîte ; "Have you not even read this Scripture: `THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED,
THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone;
11.  c'est là l'œuvre du Seigneur et elle est admirable à nos yeux ? » THIS CAME ABOUT FROM THE LORD,
AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES'?"
12.  Ils cherchaient à l'arrêter, mais ils eurent peur de la foule. Ils avaient bien compris, en effet, que c'était pour eux qu'il avait dit la parabole. Et le laissant, ils s'en allèrent. And they were seeking to seize Him, and yet they feared the people, for they understood that He spoke the parable against them. Is it lawful to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not? 15.  Mais lui, sachant leur hypocrisie, leur dit : « Pourquoi me tendez-vous un piège ? Apportez-moi un denier, que je le voie. » "Shall we pay or shall we not pay?" But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to look at." 16.  Ils en apportèrent un et il leur dit : « De qui est l'effigie que voici ? Et l'inscription ? » Ils lui dirent : « De César. » They brought one. And He *said to them, "Whose likeness and inscription is this?" And they said to Him, "Caesar's." 17.  Alors Jésus leur dit : « Rendez à César ce qui est à César et à Dieu ce qui est à Dieu. » Et ils étaient fort surpris à son sujet. And Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were amazed at Him. 18.  Alors viennent à lui des Sadducéens - de ces gens qui disent qu'il n'y a pas de résurrection - et ils l'interrogeaient en disant : Some Sadducees (who say that there is no resurrection) *came to Jesus, and began questioning Him, saying, 19.  « Maître, Moïse a écrit pour nous : «Si quelqu'un a un frère qui meurt en laissant une femme sans enfant, que ce frère prenne la femme et suscite une postérité à son frère. » "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that IF A MAN'S BROTHER DIES and leaves behind a wife AND LEAVES NO CHILD, HIS BROTHER SHOULD MARRY THE WIFE AND RAISE UP CHILDREN TO HIS BROTHER. 20.  Il y avait sept frères. "There were seven brothers; and the first took a wife, and died leaving no children. 21.  Le second prit la femme et mourut aussi sans laisser de postérité, et de même le troisième ; "The second one married her, and died leaving behind no children; and the third likewise; 22.  et aucun des sept ne laissa de postérité. Après eux tous, la femme aussi mourut. and so all seven left no children. Last of all the woman died also. 23.  A la résurrection, quand ils ressusciteront, duquel d'entre eux sera-t-elle la femme ? Car les sept l'auront eue pour femme. » "In the resurrection, when they rise again, which one's wife will she be? For all seven had married her." 24.  Jésus leur dit : « N'êtes-vous pas dans l'erreur, en ne connaissant ni les Écritures ni la puissance de Dieu ? Jesus said to them, "Is this not the reason you are mistaken, that you do not understand the Scriptures or the power of God? 25.  Car, lorsqu'on ressuscite d'entre les morts, on ne prend ni femme ni mari, mais on est comme des anges dans les cieux. "For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 26.  Quant au fait que les morts ressuscitent, n'avez-vous pas lu dans le Livre de Moïse, au passage du Buisson, comment Dieu lui a dit : Je suis le Dieu d'Abraham, le Dieu d'Isaac et le Dieu de Jacob ? "But regarding the fact that the dead rise again, have you not read in the book of Moses, in the passage about the burning bush, how God spoke to him, saying, `I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, and the God of Jacob'? 27.  Il n'est pas un Dieu de morts, mais de vivants. Vous êtes grandement dans l'erreur ! » "He is not the God of the dead, but of the living; you are greatly mistaken." 28.  Un scribe qui les avait entendus discuter, voyant qu'il leur avait bien répondu, s'avança et lui demanda : « Quel est le premier de tous les commandements ? » One of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, "What commandment is the foremost of all?" 29.  Jésus répondit : « Le premier c'est : Écoute, Israël, le Seigneur notre Dieu est l'unique Seigneur, Jesus answered, "The foremost is, `HEAR, O ISRAEL ! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; 30.  et tu aimeras le Seigneur ton Dieu de tout ton cœur, de toute ton âme, de tout ton esprit et de toute ta force. AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.' 31.  Voici le second : Tu aimeras ton prochain comme toi-même. Il n'y a pas de commandement plus grand que ceux-là. » "The second is this, `YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these." 32.  Le scribe lui dit : « Fort bien, Maître, tu as eu raison de dire qu'il est unique et qu'il n'y en a pas d'autre que Lui : The scribe said to Him, "Right, Teacher; You have truly stated that HE IS ONE, AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE BESIDES HIM; 33.  l'aimer de tout son cœur, de toute son intelligence et de toute sa force, et aimer le prochain comme soi-même, vaut mieux que tous les holocaustes et tous les sacrifices. » AND TO LOVE HIM WITH ALL THE HEART AND WITH ALL THE UNDERSTANDING AND WITH ALL THE STRENGTH, AND TO LOVE ONE'S NEIGHBOR AS HIMSELF, is much more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." 34.  Jésus, voyant qu'il avait fait une remarque pleine de sens, lui dit : « Tu n'es pas loin du Royaume de Dieu. » Et nul n'osait plus l'interroger. When Jesus saw that he had answered intelligently, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." After that, no one would venture to ask Him any more questions. 35.  Prenant la parole, Jésus disait en enseignant dans le Temple : « Comment les scribes peuvent-ils dire que le Christ est fils de David ? And Jesus began to say, as He taught in the temple, "How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? 36.  C'est David lui-même qui a dit par l'Esprit Saint : Le Seigneur a dit à mon Seigneur : Siège à ma droite, jusqu'à ce que j'aie mis tes ennemis dessous tes pieds. "David himself said in the Holy Spirit, `THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD,
"SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND,
UNTIL I PUT YOUR ENEMIES BENEATH YOUR FEET."'
37.  David en personne l'appelle Seigneur ; comment alors peut-il être son fils ? » Et la foule nombreuse l'écoutait avec plaisir. "David himself calls Him `Lord'; so in what sense is He his son?" And the large crowd enjoyed listening to Him. 38.  Il disait encore dans son enseignement : « Gardez-vous des scribes qui se plaisent à circuler en longues robes, à recevoir les salutations sur les places publiques, In His teaching He was saying: "Beware of the scribes who like to walk around in long robes, and like respectful greetings in the market places, 39.  à occuper les premiers sièges dans les synagogues et les premiers divans dans les festins, and chief seats in the synagogues and places of honor at banquets, 40.  qui dévorent les biens des veuves, et affectent de faire de longues prières. Ils subiront, ceux-là, une condamnation plus sévère. » who devour widows' houses, and for appearance's sake offer long prayers; these will receive greater condemnation." 41.  S'étant assis face au Trésor, il regardait la foule mettre de la petite monnaie dans le Trésor, et beaucoup de riches en mettaient abondamment. And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the people were putting money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums. 42.  Survint une veuve pauvre qui y mit deux piécettes, soit un quart d'as. A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amount to a cent. 43.  Alors il appela à lui ses disciples et leur dit : « En vérité, je vous le dis, cette veuve, qui est pauvre, a mis plus que tous ceux qui mettent dans le Trésor. Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; 44.  Car tous ont mis de leur superflu, mais elle, de son indigence, a mis tout ce qu'elle possédait, tout ce qu'elle avait pour vivre. » for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on."

Mark 10
1.  Partant de là, il vient dans le territoire de la Judée et au-delà du Jourdain, et de nouveau les foules se rassemblent auprès de lui et, selon sa coutume, de nouveau il les enseignait. "But from the beginning of creation, God MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE. 7.  Ainsi donc l'homme quittera son père et sa mère, "FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, 8.  et les deux ne feront qu'une seule chair. Ainsi ils ne sont plus deux, mais une seule chair. AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH; so they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9.  Eh bien ! ce que Dieu a uni, l'homme ne doit point le séparer. » "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." 10.  Rentrés à la maison, les disciples l'interrogeaient de nouveau sur ce point. In the house the disciples began questioning Him about this again. 11.  Et il leur dit : « Quiconque répudie sa femme et en épouse une autre, commet un adultère à son égard ; And He *said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her; 12.  et si une femme répudie son mari et en épouse un autre, elle commet un adultère. » and if she herself divorces her husband and marries another man, she is committing adultery." 13.  On lui présentait des petits enfants pour qu'il les touchât, mais les disciples les rabrouèrent. And they were bringing children to Him so that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked them. 14.  Ce que voyant, Jésus se fâcha et leur dit : « Laissez les petits enfants venir à moi ; ne les empêchez pas, car c'est à leurs pareils qu'appartient le Royaume de Dieu. But when Jesus saw this, He was indignant and said to them, "Permit the children to come to Me; do not hinder them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15.  En vérité je vous le dis : quiconque n'accueille pas le Royaume de Dieu en petit enfant, n'y entrera pas. » "Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all." 16.  Puis il les embrassa et les bénit en leur imposant les mains. And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them. 17.  Il se mettait en route quand un homme accourut et, s'agenouillant devant lui, il l'interrogeait : « Bon maître, que dois-je faire pour avoir en héritage la vie éternelle ? » As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, "Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" 18.  Jésus lui dit : « Pourquoi m'appelles-tu bon ? Nul n'est bon que Dieu seul. And Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 19.  Tu connais les commandements : Ne tue pas, ne commets pas d'adultère, ne vole pas, ne porte pas de faux témoignage, ne fait pas de tort, honore ton père et ta mère. » "You know the commandments, `DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, Do not defraud, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.' " 20.  - « Maître, lui dit-il, tout cela, je l'ai observé dès ma jeunesse. » And he said to Him, "Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth up." 21.  Alors Jésus fixa sur lui son regard et l'aima. Et il lui dit : « Une seule chose te manque : va, ce que tu as, vends-le et donne-le aux pauvres, et tu auras un trésor dans le ciel ; puis, viens, suis-moi. » Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, "One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." 22.  Mais lui, à ces mots, s'assombrit et il s'en alla contristé, car il avait de grands biens. But at these words he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property. 23.  Alors Jésus, regardant autour de lui, dit à ses disciples : « Comme il sera difficile à ceux qui ont des richesses d'entrer dans le Royaume de Dieu ! » And Jesus, looking around, *said to His disciples, "How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!" 24.  Les disciples étaient stupéfaits de ces paroles. Mais Jésus reprit et leur dit : « Mes enfants, comme il est difficile d'entrer dans le Royaume de Dieu ! The disciples were amazed at His words. Et comme il sortait de Jéricho avec ses disciples et une foule considérable, le fils de Timée Bartimée , un mendiant aveugle, était assis au bord du chemin. Then they *came to Jericho. And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road. 47.  Quand il apprit que c'était Jésus le Nazarénien, il se mit à crier : « Fils de David, Jésus, aie pitié de moi ! » When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" 48.  Et beaucoup le rabrouaient pour lui imposer silence, mais lui criait de plus belle : « Fils de David, aie pitié de moi ! » Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" 49.  Jésus s'arrêta et dit : « Appelez-le. » On appelle l'aveugle en lui disant : « Aie confiance ! Lève-toi, il t'appelle. » And Jesus stopped and said, "Call him here." So they *called the blind man, saying to him, "Take courage, stand up! He is calling for you." 50.  Et lui, rejetant son manteau, bondit et vint à Jésus. Throwing aside his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus. 51.  Alors Jésus lui adressa la parole : « Que veux-tu que je fasse pour toi ? » L'aveugle lui répondit : « Rabbouni, que je recouvre la vue ! » And answering him, Jesus said, "What do you want Me to do for you?" And the blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!" 52.  Jésus lui dit : « Va, ta foi t'a sauvé. » Et aussitôt il recouvra la vue et il cheminait à sa suite. And Jesus said to him, "Go; your faith has made you well." Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.

Mark 9
1.  Et il leur disait : « En vérité je vous le dis, il en est d'ici présents qui ne goûteront pas la mort avant d'avoir vu le Royaume de Dieu venu avec puissance. » And Jesus was saying to them, "Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power." 2.  Six jours après, Jésus prend avec lui Pierre, Jacques et Jean et les emmène seuls, à l'écart, sur une haute montagne. Et il fut transfiguré devant eux Six days later, Jesus *took with Him Peter and James and John, and *brought them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them; 3.  et ses vêtements devinrent resplendissants, d'une telle blancheur qu'aucun foulon sur terre ne peut blanchir de la sorte. and His garments became radiant and exceedingly white, as no launderer on earth can whiten them. 4.  Élie leur apparut avec Moïse et ils s'entretenaient avec Jésus. Elijah appeared to them along with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus. 5.  Alors Pierre, prenant la parole, dit à Jésus : « Rabbi, il est heureux que nous soyons ici ; faisons donc trois tentes, une pour toi, une pour Moïse et une pour Élie. » Peter *said to Jesus, "Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us make three tabernacles, one for You, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah." 6.  C'est qu'il ne savait que répondre, car ils étaient saisis de frayeur. As they were coming down from the mountain, He gave them orders not to relate to anyone what they had seen, until the Son of Man rose from the dead. 10.  Ils gardèrent la recommandation, tout en se demandant entre eux ce que signifiait » ressusciter d'entre les morts ». And yet how is it written of the Son of Man that He will suffer many things and be treated with contempt? 13.  Mais je vous le dis : Élie est bien déjà venu et ils l'ont traité à leur guise, comme il est écrit de lui. » "But I say to you that Elijah has indeed come, and they did to him whatever they wished, just as it is written of him." 14.  En rejoignant les disciples, ils virent une foule nombreuse qui les entourait et des scribes qui discutaient avec eux. Apportez-le-moi. » And He *answered them and *said, "O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me!" 20.  Et ils le lui apportèrent. Sitôt qu'il vit Jésus, l'esprit secoua violemment l'enfant qui tomba à terre et il s'y roulait en écumant. They brought the boy to Him. When he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth. 21.  Et Jésus demanda au père : « Combien de temps y a-t-il que cela lui arrive ? » - « Depuis son enfance, dit-il ; And He asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, "From childhood. 22.  et souvent il l'a jeté soit dans le feu soit dans l'eau pour le faire périr. Mais si tu peux quelque chose, viens à notre aide, par pitié pour nous. » - "It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. Viens en aide à mon peu de foi ! » Immediately the boy's father cried out and said, "I do believe; help my unbelief." 25.  Jésus, voyant qu'une foule affluait, menaça l'esprit impur en lui disant : « Esprit muet et sourd, je te l'ordonne, sors de lui et n'y rentre plus. » When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again." 26.  Après avoir crié et l'avoir violemment secoué, il sortit, et l'enfant devint comme mort, si bien que la plupart disaient : « Il a trépassé ! » After crying out and throwing him into terrible convulsions, it came out; and the boy became so much like a corpse that most of them said, "He is dead!" 27.  Mais Jésus, le prenant par la main, le releva et il se tint debout. But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him; and he got up. 28.  Quand il fut rentré à la maison, ses disciples lui demandaient dans le privé : « Pourquoi nous autres, n'avons-nous pu l'expulser ? » When He came into the house, His disciples began questioning Him privately, "Why could we not drive it out?" 29.  Il leur dit : « Cette espèce-là ne peut sortir que par la prière. » And He said to them, "This kind cannot come out by anything but prayer." 30.  Étant partis de là, ils faisaient route à travers la Galilée et il ne voulait pas qu'on le sût. From there they went out and began to go through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know about it. 31.  Car il instruisait ses disciples et il leur disait : « Le Fils de l'homme est livré aux mains des hommes et ils le tueront, et quand il aura été tué, après trois jours il ressuscitera. » For He was teaching His disciples and telling them, "The Son of Man is to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill Him; and when He has been killed, He will rise three days later." 32.  Mais ils ne comprenaient pas cette parole et ils craignaient de l'interroger. But they kept silent, for on the way they had discussed with one another which of them was the greatest. 35.  Alors, s'étant assis, il appela les Douze et leur dit : « Si quelqu'un veut être le premier, il sera le dernier de tous et le serviteur de tous. » Sitting down, He called the twelve and *said to them, "If anyone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all." 36.  Puis, prenant un petit enfant, il le plaça au milieu d'eux et, l'ayant embrassé, il leur dit : Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them, 37.  « Quiconque accueille un enfant comme celui-ci à cause de mon nom, c'est moi qu'il accueille ; et quiconque m'accueille, ce n'est pas moi qu'il accueille, mais Celui qui m'a envoyé. » "Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me." 38.  Jean lui dit : « Maître, nous avons vu quelqu'un expulser des démons en ton nom, quelqu'un qui ne nous suit pas, et nous voulions l'empêcher, parce qu'il ne nous suivait pas. » John said to Him, "Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in Your name, and we tried to prevent him because he was not following us." 39.  Mais Jésus dit : « Ne l'en empêchez pas, car il n'est personne qui puisse faire un miracle en invoquant mon nom et sitôt après parler mal de moi. But Jesus said, "Do not hinder him, for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me. 40.  Qui n'est pas contre nous est pour nous. "For he who is not against us is for us. 41.  « Quiconque vous donnera à boire un verre d'eau pour ce motif que vous êtes au Christ, en vérité, je vous le dis, il ne perdra pas sa récompense. "For everyone will be salted with fire. 50.  C'est une bonne chose que le sel ; mais si le sel devient insipide, avec quoi l'assaisonnerez-vous ? Ayez du sel en vous-mêmes et vivez en paix les uns avec les autres. » "Salt is good; but if the salt becomes unsalty, with what will you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another."

1.  En ces jours-là, comme il y avait de nouveau une foule nombreuse et qu'ils n'avaient pas de quoi manger, il appela à lui ses disciples et leur dit : In those days, when there was again a large crowd and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples and *said to them, 2.  « J'ai pitié de la foule, car voilà déjà trois jours qu'ils restent auprès de moi et ils n'ont pas de quoi manger. "I feel compassion for the people because they have remained with Me now three days and have nothing to eat. 3.  Si je les renvoie à jeun chez eux, ils vont défaillir en route, et il y en a parmi eux qui sont venus de loin. » "If I send them away hungry to their homes, they will faint on the way; and some of them have come from a great distance." 4.  Ses disciples lui répondirent : « Où prendre de quoi rassasier de pains ces gens, ici, dans un désert ? » And His disciples answered Him, "Where will anyone be able to find enough bread here in this desolate place to satisfy these people?" 5.  Et il leur demandait : « Combien avez-vous de pains ? » - « Sept », dirent-ils. And they *came to Bethsaida. And they *brought a blind man to Jesus and *implored Him to touch him. 23.  Prenant l'aveugle par la main, il le fit sortir hors du village. Après lui avoir mis de la salive sur les yeux et lui avoir imposé les mains, il lui demandait : « Aperçois-tu quelque chose ? » Taking the blind man by the hand, He brought him out of the village; and after spitting on his eyes and laying His hands on him, He asked him, "Do you see anything?" 24.  Et l'autre, qui commençait à voir, de répondre : « J'aperçois les gens, c'est comme si c'était des arbres que je les vois marcher. » And he looked up and said, "I see men, for I see them like trees, walking around." 25.  Après cela, il mit de nouveau ses mains sur les yeux de l'aveugle, et celui-ci vit clair et fut rétabli, et il voyait tout nettement, de loin. Then again He laid His hands on his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and began to see everything clearly. 26.  Et Jésus le renvoya chez lui, en lui disant : « N'entre même pas dans le village. » And He sent him to his home, saying, "Do not even enter the village." 27.  Jésus s'en alla avec ses disciples vers les villages de Césarée de Philippe, et en chemin il posait à ses disciples cette question : « Qui suis-je, au dire des gens ? » Jesus went out, along with His disciples, to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He questioned His disciples, saying to them, "Who do people say that I am?" 28.  Ils lui dirent : « Jean le Baptiste ; pour d'autres, Élie ; pour d'autres, un des prophètes. » - They told Him, saying, "John the Baptist; and others say Elijah; but others, one of the prophets." 29.  « Mais pour vous, leur demandait-il, qui suis-je ? » Pierre lui répond : « Tu es le Christ. » And He continued by questioning them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter *answered and *said to Him, "You are the Christ." 30.  Alors il leur enjoignit de ne parler de lui à personne. And He warned them to tell no one about Him. 31.  Et il commença de leur enseigner : « Le Fils de l'homme doit beaucoup souffrir, être rejeté par les anciens, les grands prêtres et les scribes, être tué et, après trois jours, ressusciter ; And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. 32.  et c'est ouvertement qu'il disait ces choses. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. 33.  Mais lui, se retournant et voyant ses disciples, admonesta Pierre et dit : « Passe derrière moi, Satan ! car tes pensées ne sont pas celles de Dieu, mais celles des hommes ! » But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter and *said, "Get behind Me, Satan; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's." 34.  Appelant à lui la foule en même temps que ses disciples, il leur dit : « Si quelqu'un veut venir à ma suite, qu'il se renie lui-même, qu'il se charge de sa croix, et qu'il me suive. And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 35.  Qui veut en effet sauver sa vie la perdra, mais qui perdra sa vie à cause de moi et de l'Évangile la sauvera. "For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it. 36.  Que sert donc à l'homme de gagner le monde entier, s'il ruine sa propre vie ? "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul? 37.  Et que peut donner l'homme en échange de sa propre vie ? "For what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38.  Car celui qui aura rougi de moi et de mes paroles dans cette génération adultère et pécheresse, le Fils de l'homme aussi rougira de lui, quand il viendra dans la gloire de son Père avec les saints anges. » "For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels."

1.  Les Pharisiens et quelques scribes venus de Jérusalem se rassemblèrent auprès de lui, The Pharisees and some of the scribes gathered around Him when they had come from Jerusalem, 2.  et voyant quelques-uns de ses disciples prendre leur repas avec des mains impures, c'est-à-dire non lavées - and had seen that some of His disciples were eating their bread with impure hands, that is, unwashed. 3.  les Pharisiens, en effet, et tous les Juifs ne mangent pas sans s'être lavé les bras jusqu'au coude, conformément à la tradition des anciens, (For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they carefully wash their hands, thus observing the traditions of the elders; 4.  et ils ne mangent pas au retour de la place publique avant de s'être aspergés d'eau, et il y a beaucoup d'autres pratiques qu'ils observent par tradition : lavages de coupes, de cruches et de plats d'airain -, and when they come from the market place, they do not eat unless they cleanse themselves; and there are many other things which they have received in order to observe, such as the washing of cups and pitchers and copper pots.) 5.  donc les Pharisiens et les scribes l'interrogent : « Pourquoi tes disciples ne se comportent-ils pas suivant la tradition des anciens, mais prennent-ils leur repas avec des mains impures ? » The Pharisees and the scribes *asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with impure hands?" 6.  Il leur dit : « Isaïe a bien prophétisé de vous, hypocrites, ainsi qu'il est écrit : Ce peuple m'honore des lèvres ; mais leur cœur est loin de moi. And He said to them, "Rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: `THIS PEOPLE HONORS ME WITH THEIR LIPS,
BUT THEIR HEART IS FAR AWAY FROM ME.
7.  Vain est le culte qu'ils me rendent, les doctrines qu'ils enseignent ne sont que préceptes humains. `BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME,
TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.'
8.  Vous mettez de côté le commandement de Dieu pour vous attacher à la tradition des hommes. » "Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men." 9.  Et il leur disait : « Vous annulez bel et bien le commandement de Dieu pour observer votre tradition. He was also saying to them, "You are experts at setting aside the commandment of God in order to keep your tradition. 10.  En effet, Moïse a dit : Honore ton père et ta mère, et : Que celui qui maudit son père ou sa mère soit puni de mort. When he had left the crowd and entered the house, His disciples questioned Him about the parable. 18.  Et il leur dit : « Vous aussi, vous êtes à ce point sans intelligence ? Ne comprenez-vous pas que rien de ce qui pénètre du dehors dans l'homme ne peut le souiller, And He *said to them, "Are you so lacking in understanding also? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the man from outside cannot defile him, 19.  parce que cela ne pénètre pas dans le cœur, mais dans le ventre, puis s'en va aux lieux d'aisance » ainsi il déclarait purs tous les aliments . because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?" (Thus He declared all foods clean.) 20.  Il disait : « Ce qui sort de l'homme, voilà ce qui souille l'homme. And He was saying, "That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. 21.  Car c'est du dedans, du cœur des hommes, que sortent les desseins pervers : débauches, vols, meurtres, "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, 22.  adultères, cupidités, méchancetés, ruse, impudicité, envie, diffamation, orgueil, déraison. deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. 23.  Toutes ces mauvaises choses sortent du dedans et souillent l'homme. » . "All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man." 24.  Partant de là, il s'en alla dans le territoire de Tyr. Étant entré dans une maison, il ne voulait pas que personne le sût, mais il ne put rester ignoré. Jesus got up and went away from there to the region of Tyre. And when He had entered a house, He wanted no one to know of it; yet He could not escape notice. 25.  Car aussitôt une femme, dont la petite fille avait un esprit impur, entendit parler de lui et vint se jeter à ses pieds. But after hearing of Him, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately came and fell at His feet. 26.  Cette femme était grecque, syrophénicienne de naissance, et elle le priait d'expulser le démon hors de sa fille. Now the woman was a Gentile, of the Syrophoenician race. And she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 27.  Et il lui disait : « Laisse d'abord les enfants se rassasier, car il ne sied pas de prendre le pain des enfants et de le jeter aux petits chiens. » And He was saying to her, "Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not good to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs." 28.  Mais elle de répliquer et de lui dire : « Oui, Seigneur ! et les petit chiens sous la table mangent les miettes des enfants ! » But she answered and *said to Him, "Yes, Lord, but even the dogs under the table feed on the children's crumbs." 29.  Alors il lui dit : « A cause de cette parole, va, le démon est sorti de ta fille. » And He said to her, "Because of this answer go; the demon has gone out of your daughter." 30.  Elle retourna dans sa maison et trouva l'enfant étendue sur son lit et le démon parti. And going back to her home, she found the child lying on the bed, the demon having left. 31.  S'en retournant du territoire de Tyr, il vint par Sidon vers la mer de Galilée, à travers le territoire de la Décapole. Again He went out from the region of Tyre, and came through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, within the region of Decapolis. 32.  Et on lui amène un sourd, qui de plus parlait difficilement, et on le prie de lui imposer les mains. They *brought to Him one who was deaf and spoke with difficulty, and they *implored Him to lay His hand on him. 33.  Le prenant hors de la foule, à part, il lui mit ses doigts dans les oreilles et avec sa salive lui toucha la langue. Jesus took him aside from the crowd, by himself, and put His fingers into his ears, and after spitting, He touched his tongue with the saliva; 34.  Puis, levant les yeux au ciel, il poussa un gémissement et lui dit : « Ephphatha », c'est-à-dire : « Ouvre-toi ! » and looking up to heaven with a deep sigh, He *said to him, "Ephphatha!" that is, "Be opened!" 35.  Et ses oreilles s'ouvrirent et aussitôt le lien de sa langue se dénoua et il parlait correctement. And his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was removed, and he began speaking plainly. 36.  Et Jésus leur recommanda de ne dire la chose à personne ; mais plus il le leur recommandait, de plus belle ils la proclamaient. And He gave them orders not to tell anyone; but the more He ordered them, the more widely they continued to proclaim it. 37.  Ils étaient frappés au-delà de toute mesure et disaient : « Il a bien fait toutes choses : il fait entendre les sourds et parler les muets. » They were utterly astonished, saying, "He has done all things well; He makes even the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."
